NSW Ceiling Insulation Rebates & Zero-Interest Loans: Coming Soon

Looking for a NSW ceiling insulation rebate? The NSW Government has announced new financial support for ceiling insulation through its Home Energy Saver program, including zero-interest loans and discounts. Here’s what homeowners need to know.

Is there a ceiling insulation rebate in NSW?

Financial support for ceiling insulation in NSW is coming, but it isn’t available yet.

Under the NSW Government’s Home Energy Saver program, eligible households will be able to access:

• Zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 for eligible energy-efficiency upgrades, including ceiling insulation.
• Discounts of up to $4,000 for eligible lower-income households.

While the Home Energy Saver loan program has already launched for some upgrades, insulation is coming soon.

The separate Home Energy Saver discounts are also yet to launch.

Who will be eligible?

Under the announced criteria, the zero-interest Home Energy Saver loan is available to eligible NSW owner-occupiers and landlords with a combined household taxable income of up to $210,000.

The upcoming Home Energy Saver discount of up to $4,000 will target lower-income households with an annual household income of up to $80,000, as well as households with an eligible concession card.

Final eligibility and installation requirements should be confirmed once support for ceiling insulation officially opens.

When will NSW insulation rebates and loans start?

A specific launch date for the NSW ceiling insulation financial assistance has not yet been announced.

House Insulation Canberra is closely monitoring the rollout and will notify interested NSW homeowners as soon as the ceiling insulation discounts and zero-interest loans become available.
