Our Story

I'm Tom, and along with Dom I run House Insulation Canberra. We're a local team of Energy Efficiency Council certified installers, and we've now insulated more than 1,000 homes across the ACT and surrounding region.

You'll deal with me or Ellie from the first call through to the final invoice. Dom is a builder by background, and he does all our in-home assessments. You can count on him for frank advice about what will make the most difference in your home. The install team is our own crew, not subcontractors picked up for the day. When we quote a job, we do the job.

The reason we're upfront about what your home actually needs, and the reason we price-match, is simple: there are a handful of insulation companies in Canberra and we know you're comparing. We'd rather win your job on honest advice and a fair price than talk you into something you don't need.

How the Process Works

1. Free In-Home Assessment

Dom or one of the team visits your home, inspects the existing insulation, checks the roof space and subfloor, and asks about the rooms you're finding hardest to heat or cool.

2. Personalised Written Quote

You get a clear, itemised quote covering products, R-values, removal costs if needed, and any electrical work required. If you've already got a written quote from another qualified installer, bring it and we'll price-match. We'll also tell you what rebates you may be eligible for.

3. Book Your Install

Once you're happy with the quote, we lock in a date, usually within one to two weeks. Rental compliance jobs can often go in sooner.

4. Installation and Sign-Off

Electrical safety check first. Old insulation removed and roof space vacuumed if that's part of the job. New batts installed neatly around every fitting. Before-and-after photos, product documentation and safety sign-off handed to you on completion.
